The Ultium Cells facility in Spring Hill marks a major milestone in advancing electric vehicle production in the United States. Stretching half a mile along Highway 31 between Spring Hill and Columbia, the plant began operations in February 2024 and continues to expand its output. This state-of-the-art facility manufactures millions of battery cells to power General Motors’ Ultium Platform electric vehicles, including the Cadillac Lyriq and Vistiq, which are assembled next door at the GM Spring Hill Assembly Plant.
Energy Efficiency & Cost Savings
Air escaping through unsealed duct joints increases energy consumption and forces HVAC equipment to work harder. Our testing identifies leakage points so repairs can be made, reducing utility costs and improving long-term system efficiency.
Code Compliance & Verification
Many projects — especially new construction and commissioning — require duct leakage testing to meet building codes, engineer specifications, and LEED standards. Synergy Mechanical Inc. provides accurate testing results and clear documentation to satisfy local inspectors, commissioning agents, and design requirements.
Improved Comfort & System Performance
Leakage reduces airflow to occupied spaces, causing temperature inconsistencies, equipment strain, and poor indoor comfort. Our testing ensures your ducts deliver the correct volumes of air as intended by the design, improving overall building performance.
